With the GFI Ink Dispenser, not only can all spot PMS Pantone colors be created, but any possible color with the provided ink bases can be created. If a customer has a color to match, it can be sent off to the ink manufacture to create a formula. They may or may not charge for this service. Once the formula is in hand; add that formula to the database in Evolve Pro, where it will be saved for repeated mixes in the future until deleted from the database. Ability to import formulas with a spectrophotometer, and the proper additional spectrophotometer software, is possible too. A customer may also give a formula to be created. If this is the case it is recommended to put the formula into the formula database and make a small batch to check the color before producing a large batch for press. This is because of all the different variables that play a role in color. Every ink manufacture has their own way of making all the base colors, so all inks will require different percentages to create a specific color. If the customer has supplied the formula it is highly recommended that it is tested before sending it to press incase adjustments need to be made to the provided formula to match the color desired.
